Sunset @ Land’s End

Location : Land’s End, the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and England.

It was really great standing there to watch the sun slowly set while listening to the waves crashing onto the beach below me. I was right at the edge of a cliff and had this view all to myself that evening. It was all very serene. This single image and the light are straight out of the camera (SOOC), so I have not manipulated it in Photoshop.

This image was timed to catch the sun shining through the rock arch at sunset (June). I was using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkIII camera and a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens set to 42mm. I used Live View focusing at 10x on the nearest rock below. The camera was set to 1/125 seconds exposure at f/11, ISO 100 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC.
